DEMO: Early Career Musician Open Call
Stryx invites applications from individual musicians and musical groups based in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands for DEMO, an early career music opportunity offering free access to a fully equipped recording and rehearsal studio located onsite at Stryx Gallery/Café. This opportunity is open to music artists of all genres and backgrounds. Inclusivity is central to the programme, and neurodivergent artists are particularly encouraged to apply. Applications from artists who identify as neurodivergent will be prioritised, in line with Stryx’s commitment to access and inclusion. Whether you are looking to record a professional demo, develop studio and rehearsal skills, or build confidence for live performance, the Stryx music studio is designed to support artists at the early stages of their careers. What’s included: • £300 production bursary • Free access to studio-grade recording and rehearsal equipment for 3 months • Weekly one-to-one mentoring with a professional musician/composer/engineer • Opportunity to perform at Stryx and at a final showcase event Eligibility: Open to early career musicians based in the West Midlands.
