Submissions are now open for the annual Assembly programme, delivered in partnership between Multistory and The New Art Gallery Walsall. The programme provides a platform for Black Country based visual artists to experiment, develop their practice and create ambitious new work.

Three artists will receive development support and mentoring from both organisations; a commission fee of £1,500 to create new work; and access to a production budget. The programme will culminate in a group exhibition to be presented within a larger Floor 3 project at The New Art Gallery Walsall between April and September 2027, that involves work by other commissioned artists, a region-wide Open Call and outcomes from partnerships in the West Midlands.

Work in the following mediums is welcome: moving image, installation, photography, painting, drawing, digital, print, sculpture, mixed media, audio / visual.
