Job Description:
As a Content Creator, you will develop and curate content for social media platforms. This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, visual creativity, and crafting compelling social media content. You will capture and edit content into high-quality reels and engaging formats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualise and produce engaging content for Instagram and Facebook.
- Create captivating visuals, images, and text to enhance storytelling. Ensure content follows the gallery’s style guide.
- Edit videos into high-quality reels.
- Develop content that encourages audience interaction. Respond to comments and messages in a timely manner. Re-share content and engage with the community on Instagram.
- Stay updated on social media trends and content formats.
- Collaborate with the team to align content with marketing campaigns and goals.
- Interact confidently with the community to gather content, conduct interviews, and share information about exhibitions and events.
- Provide reports and metrics to assess content performance.
Qualifications:
- Passion for arts and culture, including knowledge of art history and contemporary arts.
Demonstrated interest in engaging online audiences with exhibitions and events. - Enthusiasm for museums and galleries.
- Interest in arts marketing, social media, PR, or communications.
- Creativity and passion for storytelling and creating visually appealing content.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, especially Instagram and Facebook.
- Basic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage content schedules and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability to evolving social media trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with curators and the team.
- Ability to write accessible and engaging text about artworks and exhibitions. Strong editorial skills with attention to detail.
- Applicant must be a current or recent graduate (within 1 year) of the University of Wolverhampton.
