Wolverhampton Arts Gallery are seeking a Technical Assistant to support our exhibitions programme and collections care.

The suitable applicant will ideally have experience of working in an art gallery or museum setting to prepare and install high-quality exhibitions. The Technical Assistant will support the Technical Officer in all aspects of exhibition changeovers, preparing and maintaining exhibits, minor conservation work and assisting with exhibition planning.

This role requires you to be an organised self-starter who is able to work as part of a team. Excellent practical skills, health and safety awareness, and attention to detail are essential. The post also requires frequent manual handling and working at height. Training will be available to build additional skills.
Salary - £13,201.50 - £14,071.00 (Grade 4)
Hours - 18.5 hours Part Time, Fixed Term Contract until 30 March 2028
Work Style - Fixed: permanent council location.
